Seaweed is unsightly, but not terrible, I don't know how it compares against others.
I'm currently staying at the Zilara on a cash stay (5th night free). Globalist.

The wind kicked up today and made a mess of the seaweed but the ocean was still manageable for a dip. The rest of the week was calm with a good number of people swimming in it. The waves break far out and there's a barrier. The shore itself is shallow, 3 - 5' deep as far as most people go, which makes it calm without the wind and enjoyable to cool off.

I booked an ocean view king and that's what I was given. Plus club access. When I asked about an upgrade at check-in I was told they were full, which I don't believe is true unless they meant that the ocean front rooms were full. I got a room in the main building which other than the oceanfront fronts probably has the best view of the whole resort and ocean, given that the other buildings are on an angle. I was also assigned a butler which has been hit or miss (along with the housekeeping). The premium liquor isn't very premium but the drinks are well made.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but club guests get access to the club pool (which has a private club hot tub) and the club restaurant (Shutters, highly recommend) in addition to the club itself. I also read that they get 10% off at the spa but haven't confirmed.
