Bumpy landings with A319?

Went to Amsterdam for the bank holiday weekend and instead of the 757 I had the last couple of times I flew I got an Airbus A319.

All fine and quite comfortable, until the landing which felt quite heavy and hard (ie when the wheels touched the ground). There was a bit of swaying from left to right as well which I put down to the wind (we'd been delayed 20mins due to bad weather).

Three days later coming back into Heathrow we had another really heavy touchdown, along with more swaying of the aircraft, plus what kind of felt like a bit of skidding as most people were leaning forward or slipping in their seats a bit. No bad weather there.

I don't recall previous Airbus flights being like this and don't know if it was the same pilot on both flights, but I'm curious if others have experienced this?

Also, with the all day deli bags, is there less in them now? Last time I did LHR-AMS in Sept last year I thought there was a chocolate or something in there along with the roll. Still a tasty sarnie and great variety (between flights) that beats the Tuna Mayonaise rolls I continually got on KLM!!
