The level of projection by posters on this site is amazing...

I simply want the benefits I earned by giving loyalty to Marriott not having to carry a T&C sheet in my pocket every time I check in to see what changed. Lounge benefit at a full Marriott is as primitive a benefit as they come....

been at this game too long to care about impressing anyone and suites etc on a work trip while solo all that stuff I dont care it’s just another hotel room.
I am afraid you don’t “simply want the benefits [you] earned by giving loyalty to Marriott”. In fact, you want to enjoy benefits you haven’t earned and that Bonvoy has never promised you.

Bonvoy’s loyalty proposition is very straightforward — a plat member is entitled to plat benefits when staying on an eligible rate. While exceptions may occur at certain properties, those are courtesies extended locally and should not be expected as an entitlement.

While Marriott Rewards, before Bonvoy, may have had a different set of rules, no one ever promised those rules would stand forever and it has been more than a year and a half since the new rules came into force.

The frustration with the unanticipated outcome is understandable, however failure to come to grips with reality and accept the way the loyalty program works — and the way it is meant to work — is not at all productive and will not change the end result.
