The level of projection by posters on this site is amazing...

I simply want the benefits I earned by giving loyalty to Marriott not having to carry a T&C sheet in my pocket every time I check in to see what changed. Lounge benefit at a full Marriott is as primitive a benefit as they come....

been at this game too long to care about impressing anyone and suites etc on a work trip while solo all that stuff I dont care it’s just another hotel room.

You earned elite status through the rules of the program. The stay you are referring to has no elite status associated with it per those same rules, so there is nothing the "strip". Your stay was booked in a manner that provides no elite benefits, and you think you should get them anyway because you're special.

That's the reality of what happened.

Throwing around number of nights and "I'm special" won't garner you a lot of sympathy in a community where many, many of us have similar or stronger travel profiles and follow the program rules. We can %^&*^* and complain when Marriott doesn't follow their defined rules, and complain about the changes to the rules, but hyperbolic DYKWIA/rules shouldn't apply to me doesn't get far around here, IME.
