Back in the 60s BWIA which was then partly owned by BA was formed and was then allowed take over most of BAs Caribbean routes including the ones to US with BA doing the TA (and longer routes) business. Things of course did not quite go as plannned when Jamaica pulled out of the BWI Federation and decided it wanted its own national carrier.
BA still flies to London from most of the major island capitals and Kingston had Concorde service I believe into the mid 80's.
