Was really looking forward to staying here around cherry blossom season. Booked back in October (one paid, one award night). Received an email today saying the entire hotel is no longer open to guests from 4/13-4/19, with no reason given. Preemptively, the hotel offered to book me in the RC, cover the cost of one night on points, with myself being responsible for the other night. I asked for the full night value in points, along with reimbursement of points I'd earn on the paid rate (approximately 25k), which they gladly accepted and actually increased to a total of 125k. So in the end, I get 2 nights at the RC for 45k points during high season, so I think the hotel handled it very well.
