...mostly asking because the direct "packages" offered by some resort properties can be much more lucrative vs. even Centurion FHR and they can be booked by a travel counselor over the phone.
I made a few phone bookings last year and the agent was never able to apply the 5x MR incentive. Phone bookings appear to always be pay-at-hotel, which makes them ineligible for the 5x MR. Sorry
On the bright side if you're able to score a good package promotion on the phone it should more than make up for the MR you're missing out on.
