I was wondering if anyone has had issues upgrading on HK Airlines due to some complicated restrictions?
I called them asking about if any economy ticket can be upgraded, they said if its the cheapest one, need to make the fare difference to the next category ("N") and then pay the 800 change fee on top of that, as well as the miles to upgrade. Has anyone heard of such a convoluted system? I have saved up some miles to spend to upgrade but now perhaps won't bother.

So basically it is almost the same cost in buying a business class outright making the miles virtually worthless of you're looking to upgrade a flight. Any other thoughts/experiences with HKA?
