if you want to book with cash make sure you compare prices QF vs REX
note kangaroo island has bush fires at the moment. Accomodation has been lost and the national park damaged- up to you whether you think it’a still worth a visit
ref earning qantas points in Canada- WestJet flights, hotels booked via Qantas hotels or some of the chains (I believe IHG points can be transferred, probably others), Avis/budget car rentals, possibly using the qantas wellbeing app (may not be available there)
Hmmm. Maybe i will try calling in then.
Qf v rex is close in price but would have to change baggage etc. would prefer simplicity of one airline. That would be huge if it works then...would have to top up the old avios a bit tho
