In April, I'll have to stay over in Shanghai alone on a Saturday night. Instead of just staying in town which I usually do when I have to stay over the weekend, I was thinking of taking one of the high speed trains for the first time to Hangzhou or Souzhou.

Hangzhou seems to have a decent Park & Grand Hyatt, and also two apparently nice SLH properties, the Rose Garden and the Muh Shoou Xixi, whereas the choice in Souzhou looks much more limited with just a Regency.

I could also try one of the Alilas, Anji or Whuzhen.

Any recommendations?

I'll be heading back into Shanghai on Sunday evening staying near SHA for a Monday morning flight out.
