According to Rynek Lotniczy (the source most bloggers are likely cribbing from) it will be 772 ERs, and the seating config will be delivered unchanged. That means 26J (1-2-1) and 245 Y.

Only the legacy 773 (non-ER) has the 2-2-2 regional config.

LOT also used this same type during 2013 when the 788 was suffering from lithium battery issues (leased from Euro Atlantic). The type ratings of 787 and 777 are v. similar so for a dry lease (as opposed to the A343 wet lease) it's a logical choice.
