As part of the never ending renovations they have today shut the Club Intercontinental lounge and moved it into a corner suite 418. Didn't see the old CI lounge but I imagine this temporary one is a lot worse than the bespoke one!
Having paid 25 OMR for access and not told at checkin by the agent that it was a temporary arrangement I am a bit peeved. However, the ladies running it are top notch.
I found it to be better than the normal lounge. Yes its temp and not designed as a lounge however the views are far nicer in the temp location and nothing else is really affected. The food, drink etc is all the same. I am not sure what there is to be annoyed about?
