No, it's doable. Book the 4 night stay with points. Then call Hyatt reservations and tell them you want to use a cert for one of the nights. It stays as a single reservation. You can also call reservations and ask them to book the whole thing.
It's possible to split payment methods on a single reservation but you can't do it on the website.
I called 4 times to the reservations center and they said that since none of the nights showed availability for Free Night Certificates which is different than availability for points reservations they couldn’t do it. Trust me I tried several times.
I know generally you can but at this property because of how they set it up you can’t, at least not with only redeeming 1 Free Night Certificate.
