Hyatt Centric Waikiki had this issue when I stayed there. 3 night minimum, which shouldn’t really be allowed IMO. Otherwise how can anyone use a Cat Certificate there? It’s possible to get 3 at one time but exceedingly difficult, and only further complicated with short expirations and different expirations. Ultimately ended up just paying in points.
The worst oart part is it was a 4 night stay and they couldn’t even book the 4th night with the Certificate even after paying for the first 3 with points. That was truly disappointing.
I agree, this shouldn’t be allowed. Looks like I’ll just be using my Cat 1-4 Free Night at HP Waikiki, just to avoid HC Waikiki altogether. I don’t want to support hotels that operate in this manner.
