I did a rental with Hertz during the Lufthansa 3,000 miles promotion in October, and the miles posted within 24 hours of rental return. That was at Bristol airport, which doesn't have a great reputation as far as Hertz goes.
I wish we could get some sort of solution though, to smooth the way for these points and miles to be credited (thinking of times when I had issues in the past).
