i suspect the op may be booking as multi leg as in my experience that always reverts to 2 hours by default and as you rightly say, t5-t5 should be 60 minutes.

that said, as NWIFlyer says, the mct is just that so if you fall below the correct one even by 1 minute, an itinerary won’t be allowable as a through ticket, just like if you can do x or y only once you turn 18, you won’t be able to when you are 17 and 364 days...
