Hertz gave me only 1500 IHG points in my IHG acct. I already wrote twice to Hertz Customer Service (
[email protected]) about the 500 X 6 (days) = 3,000 and I get the answer: Your reservation did not have a PC# so we cannot give you the 3000 points.
I keep writing to Hertz that it is Not my duty to make sure the PC# is in the reservation. The link from the Hertz promotion to hertz website did Not include it - so it was a Mistake of Hertz in the file they provided to IHG.
Before I write for the 3rd time, any suggestions??
Well, it's always something with Hertz and IHG, as both seem to have 1980's tech issues constantly. But, IHG points for a Hertz rental? I stopped collecting Hertz Gold Points when they had their devaluation and stopped having any decent promo's, and changed to CX Asia Miles, as they always seem to have great promo's, like the current 6 days gets 2000 Asia Miles. That's the equivilent of 10k IHG at the 5 to 1 conversion ratio. Of course, I can always use CX miles especially when the intra-Asia fares go up, as being in BKK, I always need to reposition or stop somewhere to get to the US. But, I'm sure there are better uses than IHG points for these rentals.
