UA/GS has no authority/influence in this area. It's less dependent on your name/nationality per se, but often based on the nature of travel - one-way, solo, young male, ticket date of purchase, origin/destination or sometimes, it is just random.
There are some reports of a redress number as a possible resolution for some. YMMV.
