I'm actually very very disappointed with the lack of any reply from Marriott via mail.

We have a trip planned to the far east in March / April and will more or less exclusively stay at category 5 and 6 "Bonvoy" hotels, and sent a query via mail to the Marriott help line to get some clarification on a VIP transfer from BKK to the hotel we have chosen for 2 days.
The hotels' website only have phone and fax(?) numbers and no way of communicating via mail which this day and age is very poor IMHO.

On top of this, I have been Silver and mostly Gold for over 5 year (all based on private leisure/holiday travels only) and so far I don't feel I'm getting anything back from the brands in relation to my loyalty compared to other hotel chains. Never have I been given partly room upgrades, no special treatment other than what I'm paying for (which always includes staying in higher tier room types often suits and villas).

So, I sent them a message few days ago asking for more info on an advertised VIP BKK-hotel transfer on their website and so far not heard a single word back which has lead me to consider cancelling the BKK hotel booking all together and move my future stay's with other chains.
I understand some folk prefer communicating via email. How about giving the old phone call a try? You can get a cheap calling card to do the call if your home phone or cell phone rates are pretty high.
