To be honest, I'm actually quite pleased that in-flight internet isn't taking off. Between the proliferation of gadgets (phone, Blackberry etc*), the time in-flight is one of the few points in life when you're genuinely uncontactable - which in my book is bliss!

Yesterdays Alex cartoon in The Torygraph did however demonstrate a practical use for in-flight web access....

(* - I know that the gadgets have off switches, but using them is a totally different matter )
