There is still opportunity to book Hawaii using your companion certificate with GGUs, upgrading both pax to F. Elite status doesn't even come into play.
I know MVPs don't receive GGUs but with the GGU giveaway thread and the generosity of the community in gifting soon to expire GGUs they won't be using, I would have been looking to put an itinerary together over the last few weeks. Still a few hours left.
