I have pre-ordered that many times as it was one of the two choices and I still get the assorted nuts with my beverage as well as the other elements to the meal. Now, if someone ordered the cheese plate separate from the two entrees offered, then I do not know. However, I have pre-ordered many things these past few years and whatever I choose comes with the other elements (salad/soup/dessert) not just the entree alone.
