I would be interested in how this plays out. Pre-order is solely for the main dish, not anything else. I cannot see how mis-catering would leave just one person out with regards to salad or soup as that is part of the meal along with the main dish.. The nuts come in a large pan that is then placed into individual little cups and distributed; unless the FA was horribly misinformed, new or incompetent I cannot see why that person would exclude a single passenger in first, it is not that they ran out. I would definitely send a note to customer service.
