Odd... & typical of TG.
The TG website states that they have:
Nine B747 (version 7442) with the newer seat config (i.e.,14 1st classseats)
Nine B747 (version 7441) with older seat config (i.e., 18 1st class seats
Two B747-300 (with older seat config)
If the news article is correct, I would guess that they are first renovating the nine B747-400 with the older seat configuration and will replace the two B747-300s with the brand new A380 double decker ultra long range aircraft. The newer nine B747-400s (with newer seat config) might be upgraded later. Just a guess....
