To me thats different even thou you wont pay the $$ or 30k it was a Hotel you wanted to try out and see what its like, it seems you didnt chose it simply due to it being 30K or the most expensive rate anywhere.Plus you said you always wanted to go to NY
While OP it seems simply was looking to find the most expensive place they could max out their cert at, not caring which hotel it is and only caring that its the most expensive $$ wise, and its location wasnt important either
