No, I'm sure it's not a mistake, and just to reiterate orbitmic's point, the biggest single factor appears to be at least a few previous years of Silver/Gold status. It's one off, it won't be repeated, but while I can understand your sense of gratitude, BA's Accounts Receivable department will be even more overjoyed.
