Besides the outrageous atm fee (220 baht) Thailand banks have now (some) joined another scam to make more money - using their rate instead of the interbank rate. The only place where I've seen it be an even worse scam is in Budapest - but that's a different story. I think the banks just count on people being stupid (or uninformed) to rip them off even more than is necessary
