Yes and No. The company that handles the posting of locked box payments also handles many condo complexes. To distinguish each they handle, they create a cumbersome long account number for each unit, so long that it does not fit in the space bill pay allowed (Seems both TD and PNC use CheckFreePay platform, I have not checked Chase). There are also delayed postings of the receipt of payments to corresponding accounts. Check payments also take long time to cash (withdrawn from payment account), but at least it is much easier to trace should posting go awry.

Right now we dont even have the instruction on bill pay because the instructions on all allowed methods (at the bank, mail check, bill pay, arrange ACH from the Condo's bank, and even by credit card with a fee) are supposedly mailed to us together with the 2020 payment coupon book. The 2020 payment coupon book apparently has not been mailed yet because the 2020 budget is passed later than the usual time. So the association will waive the late payment fee for January... It is a mess.
