We do, without choice, to pay the maintenance fee of our condo. While an ACH can be set up, the association keeps changing their bankers every 18 months it so seems. It is a lot of hassle to do the new paperwork etc etc.
They just changed the bank again, and worse, now the maintenance fee is not charged quarterly, but monthly! Although this time the arrangement this time is that we can pay at any branch of the bank, with the payment coupon and the check. The problem is, nobody in the complex has received the 2020 payment coupon book yet! Of course instead of 4 checks a year, now it is 12 checks a year. Yike!
Not to go too far OT, as this is a condo, the owners, e.g. you, need to deal with the management company you, as the owners, have retained.
In particular, operating businesses which regularly switch banking relationships are a red flag for all kinds of reasons.
