I don't think your post is biased at all, bar the one comment about seaplanes flying over the DWVs. I have never seen one fly closer than maybe 150m (horizontal distance) but I guess it would almost seem that way if you were in one, especially one near the end. AFAIK they are forbidden from flying directly over them.
Oh, and regarding the number of staff. If 80 left that would be about less than an eighth that are no longer there as there are nearly 700 staff at Rangali.
Re your totally mismanaged accommodations, can I ask what dates you were there? When I was making my booking I was told the RWVs would be finished by December 22nd and booked accordingly, i.e; to arrive well after Christmas, as I wanted to allow another week or two for them to finish up. Almost every maintenance or upgrade runs behind schedule so I wasn't going to risk it.
And finally, which manager did you meet? The DoO, Alex?
