The beverage cart is definitely positioned to block off access to the area when pilots come out to use the lavatories but this is only for a brief period as they use these. Then the cart is moved away once the pilots go back into the cockpit. Not the same at all to blocking the lavatories for the whole flight or significant portion of it.
