I always prefer to pass security late night for early morning flights (up until 10 am). The only thing I notice is when you go through the automated gate thing where you scan Passport (no idea what it's called), there's a "pause" requiring a manual override, which I've always gotten sans questions.

Not sure if it's still there, but the PP lounges were all 24 hours which bridge the gap nicely from the time the CX ones are closed. For the PPs, I prefer the one on mezzanine near the Amex Cent and find it very comforting with so little people and endless supplies of that Watson tonic water.
