As a veteran to these “promotional fares”, I’ll just chill n wait for that deadline in the email. Then see what my OTA (Priceline) says.
Didn’t bank on them getting honored, didn’t make any silly non-refundable reservations, and of course booked them for months ahead (May, September & November 2020).
for the novices, this business class discount fare could have gone either of many ways:
-honored as is (e.g. Qatar Cambodia golden ticket, Delta Singapore sling fare, SQ double dip JFK-FRA via Asia fare),
-honored with additional restrictions (e.g. Cathay Pho fare or the ANA Vancouver to Sydney fare),
-cancelled with prior announcement (This and many countless others)
-cancelled after waiting for months (e.g. the KQ Addis to Europe fare, the United Singapore delight, the RGN first class spectacular fare of the decade)
