The review is spot on. But t's a timeshare not a hotel. The property is not set up to provide those perks because the timeshare owners don't receive them. In fact timeshare owners only get one cleaning per week, even worse than non-owners! And they need time to clean the rooms - the vast majority of people checkout on Saturdays and they don't have the staff to allow for staggered checkouts.
If you want elite status perks there are quite a few Marriott chain hotel properties in Cancun.
