As usual, I have a comprehensive year in review on my blog, with fancy visualisations and details on everything from loyalty programme activity to train travel. But aviation-wise, here's a summary:

Total Flights: 11 - 2 domestic, 9 shorthaul / 5 business, 6 economy

Total miles: 5169, my lowest annual total since 2007

Countries (new in bold): Austria, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany

Airlines (none new): BA CityFlyer, British Airways, Easyjet, KLM CityHopper, Ryanair

Aircraft (new in bold): A21N, A319, A320, A321, B738, E190

Airports (new in bold): AMS, BLQ, BRS, EDI, LCY, LGW, LHR, PSA, STN, STR, SZG

New Flight Experiences: First helicopter flight; first in-air divert; first aborted landing.

Divert and go-around

Worst Flight Experience: Flying Ryanair for the first time since 2008. Left over an hour late as they couldn't get the headcount right; hence unable to land at Pisa where storms had set in; diverted to Bologna where first landing was aborted; stuck in the baggage hall there for two and a half hours; no compensation.

Shortest Flight: BA cityflyer LCY - AMS (209 miles) - although I was meant to be flying BRS - AMS with KLM, so add 170 miles for BRS-LCY after they put me in a taxi to London when their plane went tech!

Longest Flight: Easyjet PSA - LGW (714 miles) - although for actual flight distance rather than great circle miles that ill-fated Ryanair service would have been further

Most memorable travel experience: Hallstatt and nearby - I knew the village itself would be picture-perfect, but I stayed by the lake for a couple of nights instead of daytripping it and found Obertraun and Dachstein / Krippenstein equally rewarding. The train route from Salzburg is pleasant too.

Relevant employment change: I rejoined British Airways in April, so have my staff travel perks back now - that should mean rather more flying in 2020!
