i know first hand that LH applies MSC rules on combined LH and AC tickets so if AC didn’t do the reverse it would be very surprising. However if you are asking about cabin baggage only then the most restrictive rules will apply (safety). So if the rules for a CRJ are in fact only one piece of carry on then that’s what you have to do. I don’t think that’s the case (only one piece of. bin baggage) but I am too lazy to look it up right now.
