Our son was in economy on one of these flights. They were given a voucher to get a hot meal before departure.

TLV has the 321 only in the summer season for the late night departure from LHR and the mid morning return from TLV, which adds to the regular 2 wide bodies used on that route.

Firstly, no cash cards were offered to our son who was in economy. Secondly, I would say that even "occasionally" is a bit of an exaggeration. In my experience (based in TLV and knowing an awful lot of very regular flyers) even once a year is unusual.
