Flight delayed, connection missed/rebooked and lost luggage - compensation?

I have a story of woe to report on this trip to France - pretty much anything that could go wrong did.

The planned itinerary was AC302 (Dec24) from YVR->YUL and then AC870 (Dec24) from YUL->CDG.

AC302 was delayed in boarding by 10 minutes but ended up leaving Vancouver close to an hour late. After boarding there was quite a bit of delay before the plane left the gate, then after taxing we stopped short of the runway and the pilot reported that we they had to get new performance data from the team; that took close to a half hour.

We arrived at YUL 32 minutes late, but I was able to get to flight 870 as they were issuing the final boarding call. However, AC had already rebooked me on a different flight and the gate agent said that if I was travelling just carry on she'd let me on but since I had luggage it wouldn't make it - therefore she told me to take the flight I had been rebooked on.

I was rebooked onto AC834 (Dec24) YUL->GVA and then AF1743 (Dec25) GVA->CDG.

I had a half hour between landing and boarding the new flight at YUL to figure out the new information. I also had to contact my family in Paris to let them know of my new arrival time so they didn't show up 8 hours early. To top it off, since the flight was an AF flight the gate agent who told me I was rebooked (and the app) couldn't tell me what my arrival time in CDG would be; she told me to google it.

Finally when I arrived in GVA I had no idea if my luggage would be transferred from AC to AF (I still have no idea if it would have been) but speaking to a Swissport agent in the baggage area of GVA he informed me that there was a note on my tags stating that my luggage would be arriving on AC870 on Dec26 and that I'd have to file a lost baggage claim on arriving at CDG.

So, my question is; can I get compensation for the 8 hour delay in arrival and rebooking? When checking the info in the app it states that the reason for the delay was due to a weather delay on the inbound aircraft. However, we sat on the tarmac for over a half hour after we pushed back from the gate, and I believe we were slow getting out of the gate. I have a text message conversation with my spouse showing I was onboard the aircraft at 11:01.

For the delayed baggage and taxi I had to take because my family was not able to pick me up at the new time I'll be getting compensation from my credit card insurance.
