I have a question about hotel bookings made with the AmEx FHR stays thru amextravel. I need to make a reservation for about 8 nights at a hotel that is part of the FHR hotels and there is also a promotion of 4th night free. I have a platinum card along with my spouse as an AU platinum card (so two platinum cards but same base account). Is it possible to make two 4-night stay reservations back to back at the sam hotel, one using my card and another using the AU card ? I particularly don't care about getting the on-property credit, I just want to be able to use the 4th night free promotion. Both me and my spouse will be staying so technically we can "check-out" and "check-in" with the other person. Just wanted to see if anyone has tried that and/or are reservations done with different card and user considered separate.

My other alternative is to make the second 4-night reservation thru Citi Prestige but that doesn't allow me to get status points benefits at the hotel so I would prefer to use FHR if possible
