I'll leave the lodging to others; I stay with family when in AZ.
AZ will be a nice change from FL, unless you must have ocean.


If you decide on Phoenix area, try the Mining Camp Restaurant in Apache Junction @ foot of Superstition Mountains around where the Lost Dutchman's Mine is suppose to be located.

The Salt River is great for sking, boarding, tubing, etc. Rent a boat & enjoy the ride until you find the spot to picnic & party.

The Casa Grande Ruins, the nation's first archeological preserve, is an hour away in Coolidge, AZ. Not a lot to see, but interesting for historical value. Photos @ link may be all you need to say you've seen it & who wants historical when on spring break??
