Enrolled in AerClub and tried to purchase avios via latest Groupon.ie offer. Purchased 2000 avios voucher as a test on 17 Dec. Received voucher which has to be redeemed by 31 Dec. Attempted to redeem voucher but got an error: ‘voucher expired’. Totally useless support from Groupon.ie customer service and Avios, with several phone calls and emails to both. Finally today Groupon came back and advised that the ‘merchant is unresponsive’ and that I could be given ‘Groupon credits’. No thanks, I asked for a refund.
