My 2 cents on WS. I don't fly AC either. Most of my travel is South from YLW and then internationally from there. AS works for me. Last month I had a CX flight departing from YVR. Rather than flying WS or AC YLW-YVR, we flew YLW-SEA-LAX overnighted in LAX and then flew LAX-SEA-YVR, earned meaningful miles in Mileage Plan and the cost between the two options was the same.
Seems to me you had other reasons than just a dislike of AC/WS for your routing to YVR. Pasco could have gotten you there with a stop in YYJ, for instance. Or Air North a few days per week.
