As other have said - you voted with your wallet. Most of us fly what we fly based on where we want to go, price, and comfort. Most of my flying is trans-border with some domestic and little international, and even I often pass at WS as a YYC-based flier for two reasons: 1) They don't fly where I want to go, and if they do, they have me on a ticket with Delta, which doesn't play nice at the moment (I just book with Delta instead and then I can get J and don't have to exchange tickets or other such nonsense), and 2) Only the 738s have a proper J cabin.
I'll fly WS more when they have a J cabin across the fleet and fix their integration with Delta so I can actually get the fare class I want on their metal. Till then, probably not, unless it's a direct flight and I'm in Y. Then, it's quite convenient ex-YYC.
