The £5.50 fare is if you book 90 days in advance. This used to a weekend only fare, but it seems to be available for any day now. Obviously HEX is getting ready for Crossrail opening up (one day) and trying to get people onboard.

Those resident in the UK and who hold various season type tickets (Annual Gold) or other rail cards can also get a third off the standard fare.
