A few weeks ago I picked up a well optioned Subaru Outback from the Hertz in STL. I think it had a CVT and it was pretty inoffensive. When placed in sport mode, the CVT in the Outlander was so bad that it was comical.

I did not look very closely but I am not sure it was a blank plate. I think installing the push to start button might require the use of an x-acto knife.
