Booked on Friday to get the rest of my family out to California and Oregon for my wedding in July. Return leg was PDX-SEA-LHR as they wanted to travel on a day without the direct flight (got them the 781 instead).
The AS leg was on whatever puddle jumper they have that has no domestic F. Two emails this morning - one cut 13 minutes off the 85 minute transfer (which I’d be fine with, but they’re not experienced travellers and I know Seattle isn’t the easiest due to the various trains). Second was a cancellation and rebook with no apparent change - checked EF and it’s now an E75 with F. So the question: do I have any justification for calling up and asking to be rebooked into F for that leg?
My opinion of this situation in general is that it should be free, but I think I recall the normal answer is “you were happy with what you booked”?
I think it’s only UK domestic flights that don’t have an additional Avios cost for a connection.
