IF the miles get added to the miles from the CitiBank card and then posted without my noticing it, it might be possible, but the only miles from purchasing tickets I see on my AAdvantage statements are "AA.COM BOOKING BONUS."

On the CitiCards site, none of the listed benefits include 1000 miles for purchasing AA tickets with the card. I think the only miles I get for purchasing an AA ticket are the $1 / dollar spent for the ticket.

OTOH, what I do like is the AAdvantage e-Shopping, with 1 - 5 miles per dollar spent there - and one more per, using my Citi card.
