Well, the issue is that:

1. I am BOS/US-based.

2. I am also AA lifetime Platimum.

3. There is a nice AA Flagship lounge in BOS which I could use domestically if I was Emerald on a non-US carrier, and I tend to travel to major AA hubs when travelling domestically.

4. I am potentially going to travel 5-10+ times transatlanti, in most cases beyond LHR, but mostly w/i Europe.

5. I don't see going to OZ excpet once every 5 years on vacation.

6. Maybe once every 1-2 years to Asia.

7. Does all that make a difference in the BA vs. QF analysis.
