I’ll take the last point first ... we’ve lost 3 cats, and don’t want to go throigh that again. Anyway, unfair on the cat, as we’re away so often.

To the nub ... would our quality of life be better? Well, if we weren’t ‘chasing status’ in CW, what would we do? Take fewer holidays? Or travel down the back? Not sure that would enhance a lot, my friend.

We have a travel pattern that, in comfort and affordability, just renews Gold every year. Which comes first? The holidays or the Goldness? I suggest the former predominates ... the latter is a nice bonus.
