You can only upgrade on an H and V fare with a SSWU.
Regular SWU will not allow only of the ECONO fares to be upgraded (sigh).

I think for smaller airports, baggage handling is great (timing, service, priority tagged bags come out first). Biggest airports like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are not as efficient. I can understand it given the baggage has more places to travel before getting to the carousel.

May be AC should adopt UA's gate signage for flights. I think the ones they had in Chicago are great. The electronic signs would show any delays, time to board and info on weather, food, mileage, upgrade opportunities, etc.

At Toronto T1 NEW, GTAA/AC should install a big board showing where baggages are coming out from. That will ease the pain for some searching around for their baggages.
